What's 'Good' About Good Friday?

Good Friday is the day on which we remember that Jesus died on the cross. Even before he reached the place where he would die, he was falsely accused; falsely convicted; whipped, beaten and tortured; mocked; and forced to carry his own his own cross out of the city towards his execution.
