SAFEGUARDING

"The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these."

Mark 12:28-31
Safeguarding at Eastleigh Parish

At Eastleigh Parish we take safeguarding very seriously. We strive to ensure the protection of all people who visit the church building on a weekly basis, with particular focus on children and vulnerable adults.

Safeguarding in the Bible

We can find a framework for safeguarding in God's Word. God is personal. He created and sustains the world and remains active in it. The single attribute of God that is given most prominence throughout scripture is His steadfast love. The passage above indicates the breadth of the love we are due to have for our neighbour, which together with His characteristics of safety and justice provide a clear groundwork for the environment we wish to foster as His church in Eastleigh.
